Dr. Allison (Alli) Ross joined Groton City Animal Hospital in 2024 after graduating from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine earlier that spring. She is a transplant to central New York, having spent her entire life previously in central Massachusetts. She has greatly enjoyed settling into the Ithaca area and forming relationships with clients, both new and old, at the practice. Her interest in mixed animal medicine stems from a desire for variety and a soft spot for ruminants (and more recently, pet pigs!). Soft tissue surgery is one of her favorite aspects of medicine. She also finds general wellness/preventative care and end-of-life/palliative care to be especially important.
Outside of work, she can be found playing pub trivia most Wednesday nights. She is a big fan of live theatre, attending many shows at venues in the surrounding area. Her two cats, Toulouse and Satine, are even named after characters from Moulin Rouge, one of her favorite musicals.
