End of Life Care

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions a family can face. Our team is here to provide compassionate guidance, gentle care, and support during this emotional time.

We are committed to ensuring your pet’s final moments are peaceful, comfortable, and dignified.

When Is It Time?

Deciding when to say goodbye can be overwhelming. While every situation is unique, some signs that may indicate a decline in quality of life include:

  • Chronic pain that cannot be managed
  • Loss of appetite or inability to eat
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Inability to stand or walk comfortably
  • Loss of interest in surroundings or family interaction

Our veterinarians are here to help you evaluate your pet’s quality of life and discuss all available options with honesty and compassion.

What to Expect

We strive to make the process as gentle and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

  • A quiet, comfortable setting
    • Our “Comfort Room” offers a dedicated, serene space for you and your pet to share final moments in peace. Designed with warm lighting, soft furniture and a separate entrance, this room provides a gentle, quiet environment away from the main hospital. This allows for a quiet, intimate, compassionate and dignified goodbye.
  • Sedation to ensure your pet is relaxed and pain-free

You are welcome to stay with your pet throughout the process if you wish.

Aftercare Options

We offer several aftercare options and will guide you through each one:

  • Private or communal cremation
  • Memorial keepsakes (paw prints, urns, etc.)
  • At home burial (where permitted)

Our Commitment

We understand that this is not just a medical decision—it is a deeply personal one. Our role is to support you with empathy, respect, and care every step of the way.

The Grief Journey

The grief of losing a pet can be as deep and real as losing any loved one. Pets aren’t “just animals”—they’re daily companions, sources of comfort, routine, and unconditional love. When they’re gone, it can leave a quiet but profound emptiness. Grief like this doesn’t really “go away”—it changes over time. The sharp pain softens, and what remains is the bond you had. Be sure to allow yourself time to grieve and time to heal.
