In-House Laboratory
Our hospital can perform a wide range of lab work right here on-site, so you’re not stuck waiting overnight for results. In-house testing includes:
- Complete blood counts
- General chemistries
- Liver enzyme screening
- Pancreatic evaluation
- Renal (kidney) profiles
- Pre-anesthetic bloodwork
- Urinalysis
- FeLV and FIV testing in cats
- Parvovirus testing in dogs
- Heartworm & tick disease screening
In some cases, your pet may need testing beyond what we can run in-house. When that happens, we’ll send samples to an outside laboratory and follow up with you as soon as the results come back.
Digital Radiology (X-Rays)
X-rays give us a detailed look at what’s happening inside your pet’s body. They’re one of the fastest ways to identify fractures, soft tissue injuries, foreign bodies, and dental disease. Our digital X-ray system produces high-quality images quickly, which means less stress for your pet and more information for our team.
Some X-rays — particularly orthopedic studies — require your pet to stay completely still. In those cases, light sedation may be needed. Sedation is typically brief, and most pets bounce back quickly.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound allows us to see your pet’s internal organs in real time — no surgery required. It’s completely painless and non-invasive, making it an excellent tool for evaluating the stomach, kidneys, liver, spleen, gallbladder, and heart. A board-certified radiologist performs ultrasound studies at our hospital, giving you access to specialist-level imaging without the referral runaround.
When used alongside X-rays and lab work, ultrasound helps us build a complete picture of your pet’s health so we can make the most informed treatment decisions possible.
